Blame The World Syndrome

Blame The World Syndrome I will start by saying this "when you go to point the finger remember pointing that 1 at someone else leaves 3 pointing back at you" Its sadly coming to my attention that the "Blame The World Syndrome" is spreading. It seems as no one is immune. As adults we really must take a long hard look in our mirrors! (find your mirror! Thanks Gwen) Who is it thats staring back at you? Is it someone to be proud of?    Is it someone you cant even bear to look square in the eyes? A person full of shame and regret? With the new year fast approaching many of us are reflective on our lives and the past years progressions and mis-steps. But what we must realize we cant beat our selves up because things didnt go as planned. Remember what they say "You wanna make God laugh, tell him your plans" But with that being said we also mustnt place the blame on others for our misfortunes. Its becoming the norm that rather than man/woman up we ar...

The Lost Tribe Of REAL Woman

I have touched on this topic in the past, and due to current events felt the need to revisit it. In the year 2011 I have come across many situations that have made me ask the question, "where are all the real women?" In a time downtrodden with the insurgence of reality television. The images of Real Women doing Real things are few and far in between. It seems as society has embraced the images of women fighting and gossiping and crabbing* each other as the norm. But did I miss the memo or something? I wasn't aware that this was the way to carry yourself as a woman, a mother, a sista, a friend...ect. Since when did it become ok to not be happy with yourself so you drag down every and anyone around you? Quoting Basketball Wives, Love & Hip Hop, and Nicki Minaj like its sacred grail. Catchy one liners for tee shirts is not what life should be made of. There was a time when a Woman could compliment another Woman not knowing her personally, but just out of respect...

Are you giving the Devil Tooo much credit?

I've been doing a lot of reading lately and in my studies, I've come across this on more than one occasion. In life are we giving the Devil (The Enemy) too much credit? Are you the type of person that every time something goes wrong, you blame it on the Devil. You know exactly what I'm talking about, your friends and family are hating (as usual), your kids acting up, your relationship falling apart....."that ain't nothing but the devil" I can honestly sayi have been guilty of this. But on this day I want to express a new way of thinking. I read last night in Tyrese Gibson's book How To Get Out Of Your Own Way That we need to stop giving the Devil credit when things go wrong. Every time we acknowledge his activity it's like giving him praise! And who wants to praise that Dude seriously! Before reading this my understanding of the matter was, No every time something goes wrong it isn't the Devil and it doesn't mean that the world is out to...
