The Road Thus Far
So I felt compelled to shine a light on some personal experience in a more in depth way. Although all posts prior to this were written from personal expierience
From the beginning of this journey that is coming on a year now, I've had to deal with much opposition.
You would think that choosing to live a life for the Lord would be something that people, family and friends would embrace and be supportive of.
Ha! Not so.
And as I grew deeper in my walk I consistently came across the statement "that's not church/Christ like"
For the record that statement upsets me something terrible!
Because when's the last time the people who use it have stepped foot in a church?
Or taken the time to seek Gods face let alone His Hand?!?
But want to tell somebody what isn't like Him?
The Nerve!!!!
When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. The old life has passed away and a new life has begun!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new"
2 Corinthians 5:17
But of course change doesn't happen overnight.
Spiritual growth is making real in our daily experience what is already true in Christ.
So I DIE DAILY. Not on Sundays, DAILY!
The old must die so the renewed mind and spirit can live and grow.
Getting closer to God doesn't change your current circumstance, it won't change your past circumstances either! It's acknowledging that you Can't do it on your own, admitting that whatever you've done was wrong, and that you are willing to change, and put in the Work to do so. (because prayer without works is dead)
But Trust me it's easier said than done. Especially when man is consistently throwing your faults in your face. When God has already forgiven you, freed you, and favored you!
And man is still dwelling on it! And here's why.
Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people's business. << 2 Thessalonians 3:11 >>
But I had to learn I don't serve Man I serve God. So He is my only judge,
And I'm forever His witness, and if you need me I'm out handling my Fathers business.
Scripture Says
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.Romans 12-2
Mark 4:19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.
And for sometime, this a struggle.
See I have the type of personality that needs structure and details, organization. OCD basically!
So its a consistent test for me not to do what had come somewhat naturally.
To submit and humble myself. To step out on faith. To take His Hand and Stand on His Word.
Because technically speaking, to worry is like a slap in the face of God.
Your basically saying He can't handle this mountain of issues I possess.
But if you just take the time to hear His voice...He will make it clear as day, That He made the mountain! Ha! He Is The Mountain!
There is No Place That He Is Not!
And if He brings you to it He will Bring you through it.
This brings me back to being unequally yoked. Because we are told to take the yoke of Christ upon us.
Take my yoke upon you - Strange paradox! That a person already weary and overloaded must take a new weight upon them in order to be eased and find rest!
But this advice is similar to that saying,
Psalm 55:22. Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain thee; i.e. trust thy soul and concerns to Him, and he will carry both thyself and thy load.
- Wherever pride and anger dwell, there is nothing but mental labor and agony; but, where the meekness and humility of Christ dwell, all is smooth, even, peaceable, and quiet; for the work of righteousness is peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever. Isaiah 32:17.
So for those who want to bring up the past, and point out flaws and faults. You may not like who I'm becoming. And that's fine. Cause God thinks I'm to Die for!
So as I walk I know I'm not perfect, but I'm striving each day, to be more and more like He who is.
Less of me and More of You is what I need.
Thank God I'm FORGIVEN....FREED....FAVORED.....& FABULOUS
BTW.....Ask and you shall receive. It may not appear in the form that your expecting or the time, so ask for some discernment to see things for what they are.....while you have Him on the line take time to lift someone else in prayer, nothing fancy you don't even need to know all their business. Just knowing that someone can use the Lords comfort and may not know how to go about seeking Him is more than enough.
Well written SYN.
ReplyDeleteMany people occupy glass houses and yet they are hurling very large boulders. He who lives in a glass house should not throw stones, pebbles, or boulders.
Often people focus on their own perceived faults of another much to the neglect of their own failures, faults and missteps.
Their constant focus on their believed perceived faults of another allows them to continue living dysfunctional. It allows them to keep the cataclysmic storms going within their psyche thus allowing them to continue being comfortable with their less than stellar self.
These people fear change and the possibilities of it because they choose to live dysfunctionally. They do not know how to exist without calamity.
These people make it their mission to keep those in their life mired in confusion, and dysfunction because they do not know how to live in peace within themselves, and are afraid to live in peace.
So they create a cacophony of madness swirling around you and to keep their need for chaos fed they will work tirelessly to sabotage you.
Beware of these people they are dream stealers , mind drains and toxic. They will always be stuck. Continue Stepping out on Faith and you will have success.

Thanks Sevah,
ReplyDeleteYes this is extremely true. Further more how dare someone judge another when you have yet to walk an inch in their shoes. You can't say you would have done anything differently until you are put in the situation.
And as for as God word is concerned, I really wish ppl who have no knowledge of it would just lose my contact info. Smh if your not seeking knowledge of Him, don't come trying to condem me and my walk, quoting some scripture babble theyve pieced together. From something they heard someone else say.
