Life without the mask

Who Are You?
Simple Question right.........
Not Quite
Because too many of us live life behind the masks of what we feel others want to see, or being what others want us to be.
But what happens to the person you were created to be.
Be yourself, everyone else is taken!
I'm on a journey and I'm fully aware that its a journey that I may have to walk alone. And that's fine. Because if I cant stand for something I will fall for anything.
And when you stand for something sometimes it means standing alone!
My journey is into a new and glorious dawn.
All that is darkness is left behind.
I'm striving to be the best me I can be. And that means being true to myself, flaws and all.

What many of us have to realize is that Happiness comes from within. And living life behind a mask will never allow you to be truly happy.

Happiness isn't a destination! (your gps wont get you there) Happiness is a choice

The Lost Tribe Of REAL Woman

I have touched on this topic in the past, and due to current events felt the need to revisit it. In the year 2011 I have come across many situations that have made me ask the question, "where are all the real women?" In a time downtrodden with the insurgence of reality television. The images of Real Women doing Real things are few and far in between. It seems as society has embraced the images of women fighting and gossiping and crabbing* each other as the norm. But did I miss the memo or something? I wasn't aware that this was the way to carry yourself as a woman, a mother, a sista, a friend...ect. Since when did it become ok to not be happy with yourself so you drag down every and anyone around you? Quoting Basketball Wives, Love & Hip Hop, and Nicki Minaj like its sacred grail.
